Fobo Groups Pilot Testing
This is a long message but worth reading to the end.
-
Social media notifies 1/3 of 1% of your followers about your posts.
-
Fobo will notify 100% of your followers and everything on Fobo is free unless we incur a cost e.g. card processing fees which I think are 1.5%
As part of a pilot for Fobo.life we have set up a few groups on the site. The objective is to increase engagement and footfall for local groups, clubs, organisations and hospitality venues.
On your Fobo page you can create posts including pictures, videos and all the normal things. You can also create events, activities and promotions for your followers to enjoy. These can be free or at a cost to your members. Members can choose what notifications to receive.
If you join the Fobo demo group there are examples of various types of post.
Once you join your own group, I will make you the admin so you can manage things.
Once in your group you’ll need to recruit your followers which the are many tools to help
you with that. If you post it on your Facebook page you can use @yourgroupname and it’s
meant to notify all followers, but it doesn’t.

A better way is to share a link to your Fobo page via any WhatsApp groups you are in and ask them to forward it to others who might want to follow your page.
Once you recruit your members to your Fobo page you will see a big uplift in engagement. Our calculations suggest that for every 250 followers your Fobo page has you should get between 10-23 engagements. On Facebook and Instagram this would be 1-2.
If you have any questions or would like to meet up to go through it in more detail, feel free to call me on 07717 803822.
Thanks

Eg: You create a discount on a group booking for which payments can be collected via Fobo. The only fees are commissions charged to Fobo which you can opt to pass on to your members.
-
Eg. You create a free event requiring a ticket, these can be created and added to the members mobile phone wallet. For tickets to paid and free events there is a check in function to account for each tickets.
